With the ETS App My Device Templates you can configure devices in your project, save the configuration as template and then reuse it in other projects as well so that you do not have to configure the devices again and again in the same way.
The additional dongle is only optional for new ETS6 product or upgrade from ETS4. If you upgrade a product for which you have already a dongle, the additional dongle is not necessary. For full details read article.
