The Weinzierl KNX Modbus Gateway ConfigTool provides a so-called DCA (Device Configuration App) for the ETS. With this it is possible to configure a Weinzierl KNX Modbus RTU Gateway 886 database and import it into another gateway. This saves a tedious manual configuration.

Devices can be maintained comfortably using the Jung ETS Service App. It is possible to download new firmware to existing devices. In addition, older firmware versions can also be transferred to existing devices (e.g. in the case of a device exchange).
The programming interface of the ETS is used for a firmware programming operation. All KNX media are supported here (TP, IP, RF).
The ETS app JUNG IPS-Remote enables the remote maintenance of KNX installations via the Internet after local approval by the customer.
The connection is established by the JUNG KNX IP Secure interfaces. The remote maintenance works independent of the type of internet connection and doesn´t require any configuration of the local network environment.
After release via a communication object, the IP interface establishes a connection to the Remote Access Server (RAS). The ETS app JUNG IPS-Remote also connects to this server and sets up the corresponding connection.
To establish an encrypted connection between the ETS and the remote IP interface, the new IPS-Remote connection must be used.
With the WAREMA KNX SMI multiple actuators in surface-mounted or DIN rail-mounted housing, up to 16 SMI LoVo drives can be controlled independently of one another or in up to 16 groups. The manual override operation and status display of the binary inputs via the Bluetooth App and DCA App is unique and, additionally, operation is possible on the actuator itself. Commissioning and motor search/allocation is done via smartphone or the ETS DCA App. This app can also be used to read out and acknowledge the SMI Motor error list or to learn in tilt pulses.

Griesser offers innovative configuration options. Using a tile system, functions are «stacked» according to their priority. This is similar to the list of priorities in a requirements specification.
Despite the high degree of flexibility, no programming language has to be learned because the intuitive tiles are configured in the predefined and tested scope. Each tile also contains «its own» communication objects and specific settings options.
After successful configuration, the functionality can be tested online and the individual statuses of each tile can be graphically visualized.
