The ETS-App Update Copy Convert provides a series of useful functions for the ETS application and device configuration (parameters and group addresses) in an ETS project.
The functions are:
Update: Changes the application program to a later or earlier version while retaining current configurations.
Convert: Transfers/adopts a configuration from an identical or compatible source device.
Channel Copy: Copies a channel configuration to other channels on a multichannel device.
Channel Exchange: Exchanges configurations between two channels on a multichannel device.
Import/Export: Saves and reads device configurations as external files.
The AUTERAS® planning software generates cross-trade equipment concepts and uses AI to find suitable product combinations that can be automatically configured and integrated to a network. This saves the customer up to 90 % of the design and configuration effort, right down to the ETS!
AUTERAS® captures customer requirements in a natural form and uses them to generate standard-compliant room automation schemes in accordance with VDI 3813, EN 17609 and ISO 16484. The AI then derives implementation proposals using devices from the KNX catalog.
The ETS App from AUTERAS® represents the interface to the online service. For example, it can be used to load the automatically created device combinations from the KNX Online Catalog, configure them fully automatically and link them using group addresses.

"Check and Improve" helps you ensure and improve the formal quality of your ETS projects. This includes the verification and semi-automatic correction of spelling, configurable naming conventions, and the assignment of Datapoint types.
Without much effort, the project gets more clearly arranged, better maintainable and will be the perfect base for further use, e.g. for a visualization.
Some details:
The Spell checker can make use of many freely available dictionaries in lots of languages e.g. from the OpenOffice and Mozilla projects, plus user dictionaries for additional words.
The naming conventions can be defined by combining building blocks like "alternative", "concatenation", "list of allowed names", "list of names from project", "pattern" etc. to a rule.
The Datapoint type assignment has access to an online database with information currently about approx. 1000 application programs (continuously growing).
The current app version works only from ETS 5.7.2! The app is available for ETS6.
ETSpilot – AI Assistant for the ETS
ETSpilot is an AI-powered assistant for the ETS, consisting of an ETS AddIn and an associated web portal.
The AddIn integrates directly into the ETS and provides an intelligent assistant that supports the planner in designing KNX installations. It analyzes the open project, answers questions in chat and agent mode, and can automate recurring work steps – such as creating and parameterizing devices, structuring projects, and generating group addresses.
The Portal (account.etspilot.de) is used for account and subscription management, for storing your own AI provider and API key, for maintaining prompt templates, and for accessing multilingual help articles. Users retain full control over the AI services they use and their data.
ETSpilot speeds up commissioning, reduces routine effort, and lowers the barrier to entry for working with the ETS – with full transparency over all AI interactions.
Note: This version is currently a public beta. Features may still change and occasional issues may occur. We welcome your feedback.
The ETS App Extended Copy is used to quickly create similar structures in a project. During the copy process, a dedicated dialog will allow devices, bus lines, even complete building parts together with their destination address assignments, configuration, Group Addresses, links, text descriptions and other information to be adjusted. Thereafter, the configuration is inserted seamlessly.
Application area:
With the GPLA app, projects from the Gira Planning Assistant can be conveniently transferred to ETS. The transfer can be carried out using a transfer code or a file from the Gira Planning Assistant.
In addition, project files for the Gira X1 can be automatically generated for import into the Gira Project Assistant (GPA).
This app allows you to connect Hager KNX radio products to a KNX installation using the TR131N radio frequency-TP gateway.
Easy2ETS tool can be used to read out an installation made of Easy Hager and Berker devices configured with TXA100 and to take over the configuration with ETS.
Note:
- RF Devices cannot be read out.
- Bus access and ETS products data are required (product database).
KNX-MCP – your AI assistant works directly inside your ETS project
KNX-MCP connects your open ETS project to MCP-compatible AI assistants such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
The assistant works directly with the information provided by ETS – without exporting the project or maintaining a separate copy. It can analyse devices, group addresses, parameters, topology and the building structure, helping you inspect, extend, commission and troubleshoot KNX installations.
Typical requests include:
• “Which presence detectors on the 2nd floor are not linked to a lighting group yet?”
• “Which group addresses of the hall lighting have more than one sender?”
• “Create switch, dimming value and status addresses for meeting rooms 2.01 to 2.06.”
• “What is the current temperature in the server room?”
• “Show me device 1.2.20 and its current parameters.”
• “Which devices on line 1.1 are currently responding on the bus?”
You stay in control: Reading and analysis are available immediately. Changes, telegrams and device operations are governed by fine-grained permissions – allowed, confirmation required or blocked. A read-only mode can disable all write operations. Project changes are performed as individual steps in the ETS undo history.
KNX-MCP runs locally inside ETS. There is no central KNX-MCP cloud service through which your project data is routed. You choose which MCP-compatible assistant to connect and therefore which AI provider, if any, processes your data.
For ETS5 and ETS6.
